It’s been a long time since I posted anything. I would think of something I wanted to say and then responsibility would call and off I’d go. Somehow, I never got back to my blog. Of course, the holiday season is always a little more hectic but this year my family faced other challenges as well. We had a long stretch of bad weather, so much snow and ice we couldn’t really get out to do anything. Then, there were the medical mishaps and close calls. We’re still in the middle of some of that now but I’m making posting more a priority as well.
I received the following quote in my email earlier this week and it certainly applies to my life right now:
You don’t get to choose how you’re going to die. Or when. You can only decide how you’re going to live. Now.~Joan Baez
This is so true. My husband had some frightening health symptoms last week and was admitted to the hospital for observation. At this point, we’re still in limbo as to what is wrong. Suffice it to say, it could be extremely serious. One of those things that kills you suddenly without warning. It brings home what I already knew. Today is the only time that is guaranteed. You don’t know if you’ll be here tomorrow. If you’re not, have you done what you wanted or needed to do? Just something to think about.
