Here is a great quote:
“You have to see every potential roadblock as an opportunity and a benefit.” — Suze Orman
Suze Orman is my favorite financial advisor and a wonderful person. Her attitude toward money and its role in life is phenomenal. Most people in the financial arena don’t connect money with feelings or emotions; they just treat everything as numbers. Suze believes that everything is interrelated and you can’t have a good relationship with money if you have unresolved issues in your life.
In today’s financial climate, the above quote is very relevant. Many people who never thought they’d lose their jobs have lost them. Since there aren’t a lot of regular jobs out there, they now have to recreate their lives. Most likely they will have to step out of their comfort zones and try something new and possibly very different.
Of course, this isn’t only true in finances but in all areas of life. We hit roadblocks all the time. Some are expected; others we couldn’t have imagined in a thousand years.
We’ve all been stuck in a major traffic jam and seen the news helicopter overhead flying with no obstructions. The helicopter can see the big picture and doesn’t get bogged down by the traffic. Next time you hit a roadblock in life, look up (emotionally) and see if you can find a way to fly over it. It will give you a whole new perspective.
