Catching Up

It’s been a long time since I posted anything. I would think of something I wanted to say and then responsibility would call and off I’d go.  Somehow, I never got back to my blog. Of course, the holiday season is always a little more hectic but this year my family faced other challenges as well. We had a long stretch of bad weather, so much snow and ice we couldn’t really get out to do anything. Then, there were the medical mishaps and close calls.  We’re still in the middle of some of that now but I’m making posting more a priority as well.

D-Day – Appreciating Those Who Served

Yesterday was D-Day, a pivotal event in World War II. As a child, I knew quite a few people who fought in World War II so I definitely feel a connection with people who served in this conflict. Of course, many of these people have now died but I remember them fondly.

Reflections on September 11

Yesterday was September 11, a day that is forever stamped in the memories of most Americans. Although we personally may not have lost a loved one, our country lost something that day–the sense of security that we had always felt on our own soil.
