I won! I won! A prize that is. This week I took part in a free giveaway at http://workingwriterscoach.com and won a free book that will help me with my writing goals.
I don’t think you ever get too old to enjoy winning something. Throughout the years, I’ve won several free prizes: free books, a free membership to a PLR site, free grocery items, etc. I even won $500 in a radio contest once.
The excitement that winning brings encourages you to continue on in your efforts, whether it’s writing or something else. Part of the excitement comes from anticipating that you may win. Many times I have entered a giveaway hoping I would win only to be disappointed when I didn’t. However, even though I didn’t win, I still enjoyed hoping that I would.
So, my encouragement for you today is to keep trying to win in life. Whether it’s a prize or a goal that you’ve set for yourself, don’t give up. Yes, part of the fun is in trying to win, but when you actually win you feel encouraged to try again. It is these little victories that keep hope alive in our hearts, and that is what makes life worth living.
